The newest poker tour the NAPT has recently announced that a new stop has been added to their schedule. The tour will have one of it’s biggest events in LA at the legendary Bicycle Casino from November 12th to the 17th.

The poker veteran Sam Farha showed the world that he still has what it takes to win a WSOP bracelet, his performance at the Omaha Hi-Lo World Championship event was outstanding and his reward was taking down the first place prize of $488K plus the prestigious bracelet.

There has been very strong performances from some poker pros so far this year at the WSOP which makes some tough competition for the player of the year race. British player James Dempsey currently sits in the number one spot with 180 points, closely followed by David Baker and Dan Heimiller.

David Sesso had mixed feelings when he sat down at the table to play the ladies event at the WSOP, he had to play due to a prop bet that he lost. He has openly apologized to the ladies that like poker and participated in the event.

Tony G is upset with his performance at the WSOP events so far this year. He has not been able to reach any important positions in any of the events he participated in and to add to those bad results he is also disappointed because he was not invited to the nine player playoff for the final seat in the Tournament of Champions.

ElkY has never won a WSOP bracelet but he earned his right to play at the TOC by winning a satellite tournament against a tough field of poker pros. His heads-up battle was against Michael Mizrachi who has had an incredible performance at this year’s WSOP events.

The WSOP organizers predicted that this year’s attendance would see an increment from the year before and so far their prediction has been positive. If the events to come keep the rising trend there should be more than the 61K players that participated in the festivities last year.

The 2010 Aussie Millions will debut in the popular TV network GSN, an episode of the show will air every Saturday night along with other poker TV shows.

Matt Matros is considered a successful tournament player with more than $900K in live tournament winnings, but that amount was recently increased when to took down event number #12 at the WSOP, the reward for his efforts was a gold bracelet and $189K.

Joran Van der Sloot is still not facing charges for the murder of a Peruvian woman, but their is strong video evidence that he was the man that caused her several injuries that took her life. Investigators will have one more week to gather enough evidence and press chargers.
